ATHLETE'S FOOT
Athlete's foot is a skin disease caused by a fungus, usually occurring between the toes. The fungal infection may spread to the soles of the feet and to the toenails. It can be spread to other parts of the body, notably the groin and underarms, by those who scratch the infection and touch themselves elsewhere.
While Athlete’s foot most often merely causes discomfort and irritation, it’s important to treat the condition before it worsens and spreads. The skilled foot and ankle specialists at Ankle & Foot Care Centers are experienced at diagnosing and treating Athlete’s foot and other conditions.
