EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS

Diabetic Support Group
Ankle & Foot Care Centers is proud to sponsor a diabetic support group that has been active for nearly 7 years. The group started for our patients, their friends and family members.

Our group's mission is to provide updated education on all topics that affect people with diabetes. The group is open to anyone with diabetes and we welcome new faces as well as those that have joined us in the past.

The support group typically meets once per quarter on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm. We provide light refreshments. These meetings are an interactive event in which we have guests lecturing on topics to help you understand and manage diabetes, learn how to prevent and treat high and low blood sugars, learn how to choose meals and physicial activities that are appropriate. Most importantly, the group allows you to share your experiences with other people with diabetes.

Community Lectures
Our physicians routinely speak at community events on a wide range of foot and ankle topics, including diabetic foot care, peripheral neuropathy and chronic heel pain.

In addition, we are able to provide a "Diabetic Foot and Wound Care" lecture to nurses for 1.3 continuing education units.
